This kin to the MAVO Edge 8K camera offers multiple resolutions, formats, and frame rates ranging from S16 2K up to cinematic full-frame 6K, 3:2 open gate. Widely used codec options for internal recording range from ProRes Proxy up to ProRes 4444 XQ for 6K workflows. Dual native ISO of 800 and 5120 enable you to shape its 14 stops of dynamic range around either the highlights or lowlights, and its proprietary color science supports KineLOG3, Rec 709, and custom 3D LUTs.

Choose oversampled 3K or 4K settings to preserve the framing and depth of field of a given lens, or digitally crop to boost its magnification.

Sharp, Multiformat 6K Sensor

Use the full 6016 x 3984, 23.97MP sensor for outstanding detail in full-frame 6K 3:2 open gate at rates up to 48 fps, crop to 6K 17:9 to overcrank up to 60 fps, or choose between multiple S16, S35, and full-frame aspect ratios and frame rates. For breathtaking slow motion, S16 2K up to 290 fps offers mesmerizing action, sport, or wildlife imaging.

Impressive Image Quality

The MAVO 6K Edge's in-camera recording of ProRes 4444 XQ enables maximum flexibility in color grading. KineLOG3, its proprietary color science, is primed for applying a custom 3D LUT for attaining a specific aesthetic.

Universal KineMOUNT

The proprietary KineMOUNT is designed to be used with separately available PL, LPL, active EF, and passive E-mount adapters. This versatility enables you to take advantage of a wide selection of both cine-style and still photo lenses in PL, LPL, active EF, and passive E-mounts.

Dual Native ISO

Dual Native ISOs of 800 and 5120 span the range of daylight exteriors to night exteriors, enabling you to shape your exposure to match an ambient light source using a smaller number of lighting fixtures or none at all.

Electronic ND Filter

The motorized e-ND enables precise control over the exposure without affecting the depth of field or motion smoothness in your footage. Continuous tuning of the density from 0.6 to 2.4 translates to the ability to make detailed reductions in exposure between 2 and 8 stops.

MAVO Edge 6K, a powerful new full-frame cinema camera, is equipped with a 6K full-frame 3:2 CMOS imaging sensor and is based on the high-performance computing platform of the MAVO Edge.The new camera features dual native ISO (800/5120) and excellent highlights under various sensitivity settings.

MAVO Edge 6K has an internal motorized full-spectrum e-ND filter(0.6-2.4), and integrates industry-standard ports and dual SSD media slots, capable of recording Apple ProRes4444/XQ and uncompressed RAW onto recording media based on NVMe M.2 2280 SSD. Weighing at only 3.6lbs, this compact and lightweight camera boasts powerful performance and versatility as it adapts to various demanding shooting scenarios.

Outstanding Highlight Performance with Stunning Image Quality MAVO Edge 6K employs a full-frame 3:2 CMOS imaging sensor which not only shows cleaner images but provides wider viewing angles, shallower depth of field, and more immersive presence. And MAVO Edge 6K is equipped with dual native ISO, rated at 800 and 5120, as the second native ISO up to 5120 is perfect for low light scenes to obtain a clean image with high latitude and low noise, ideal for documentary filmmakers or those who favor available light during night shoots.

MAVO Edge 6K outperforms its predecessor of MAVO LF a lot when it comes to highlight performance. At the industry standard ISO 800, the default highlight of the Edge 6K is 6.0 stops, capturing more highlight details to get a more cinematic look. Switch to Cine EI mode for more of a traditional cinema camera experience and highlight stops will adjust automatically as the EI changes. While using Cine EI mode, the second base native ISO 5120 is still activated when you go past 1600 EI.

Apple ProRes Recording Codec and Uncompressed RAW From Apple ProRes422 LT to ProRes4444 XQ and uncompressed RAW codec, the MAVO Edge 6K is capable of recording high-resolution images with high dynamic range and with low to zero compression artifacts.

Compact Camera Body with Internal e-ND filter MAVO Edge 6K inherits the integrated body design of Kinefinity’s flagship product, MAVO Edge 8K which won the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD 2021. The compact camera body of the MAVO Edge 6K only weighs 1.6kg(3.6lbs), and it is equipped with a full-spectrum e-ND filter, dual SDI ports, multiple control ports, and multi-channel audio tracks, as well as powerful wired and wireless functions.

Big leap on recording media MAVO Edge 6K is equipped with a dual SSD slot based on PCIe-3.0 and its recording media, blazing-fast KineMAG Nano 1TB, is based on NVMe M.2 2280 SSD with writing speed up to 10Gbps. Recording 6K ProRes4444XQ, even 6K uncompressed RAW is stable with KineMAG Nano 1TB.

Kinefinity also provides a KineMAG Nano Body allowing users to install third-party NVMe M.2 2280 SSDs, which provides more storage possibilities. The body of the KineMAG Nano is equipped with a robust camera port as well as a universal USB-C port, so it allows users to offload data to the workstation at a speed of up to 10Gbps by connecting a USB-C cable to the SSD, without a specific SSD reader.

Comprehensive Power Solution

An innovative hybrid battery plate: The hybrid battery plate supports standard 14.8V V-mount batteries such as KineBAT PD 99/200.
A standard D-Tap port, 12V RS port, and Lens port (12V) to power the third-party accessories such as wireless video transmitters and wireless follow focus systems.
Specialized UPS power contacts at the bottom of MAVO Edge 6K: Movcam brings dedicated KineKIT for MAVO Edge, especially the innovative 15mm baseplate with UPS function powered by two NP-F550 type batteries. The contacts can also work as UPS power source to supply uninterrupted power to the camera when replacing V-mount batteries or BP-U30 type batteries.
